Our club is based at the popular Darenth Valley Golf Course near Shoreham Village in Kent.

Darenth Valley is a mature 18 hole (Par 72) parkland course set in a beautiful valley.

Membership of Shoreham (Kent) Golf Club runs from 1 January to 31 December. You can, however, join the club at any time during the year. You can apply on-line by submitting the application form found on the 'Membership' page of this website. The application process is really quick and simple.

The membership subscription for 2009 is only £95 for existing members and £105 for new adult members. We have also introduced a reduced membership for Senior Citizens (over 65 on 1 January 2009) of just £65 for the year. Most of the annual subscription goes towards the impressive range of prizes on offer every 'major' competition, for monthly medals and stablefords and a range of other events.

Discounts on normal green fees apply to Shoreham members. A number of our members take advantage of Darenth Valley's 'Season Ticket'. Make a one-off payment and you don't have to worry about green fees for a whole year. Alternatively, finance is available for purchasing a season ticket. Each year DVGC throw in a few incentives, eg free bar food and drink.

Shoreham is always looking for new members - men and women of any age or standard. It's a great way to get a proper golf handicap (if you haven't got one already), to make new friends and take part in great competitions and social events.

Club Competitions

We organise a range of competitions and matches throughout the year. In fact, there are approximately 50 competitions you can play in throughout the year. 2008 Captain Tony Gibbins (on left) and Steve Cragg (Captain 2009), both played excellent shots when taking part in the traditional 'Drive-in' after the New Year's Cup on 3 January 2009. There was a sweepstake for the distance Steve would drive his ball. Due to the darkening skies it was decided to use a special luminous ball that only travels half the distance of normal golf balls. Nevertheless, Steve managed to smash his ball an amazing 173 yards to the middle of the fairway. This enabled Steve to start collecting money for his charity MOSAC (Mothers of Sexually Abused Children).
